Black History Month Lecture
Two Immortal African Americans: Henrietta Lacks and Dr. Charles Drew is the title for this year's Black History Month lecture. Presentations will be Thurs., Feb. 15, 6:00 pm at the Eastridge Branch and Sat., Feb. 17, 1:00 pm at the Main Library in the borough building.
Vince Neal will share the amazing stories of Lacks and Drew and their immense impact on the medical field both in saving countless lives and in the research of possible cures for diseases and illnesses.
The lecture and discussion will touch on the issues of racial segregation and medical research ethics in the lives of these two great Americans.
